April is the Emphasis Month for Roll Back Malaria (RBM) and Week4Waste (W4W). In this edition, we can read a special message from the International Service Director for RBM, Mr Kim Hyeun Goo, ahead of World Malaria Day on 25 April.
Week4Waste runs from 17-24 April 2023. Clubs are invited to organise at least one ‘clean-up’ activity in their community – for example, a meeting to pick up trash left at a local park or beach. Consider coordinating and publicising your events through the Great Global Clean Up, which is an initiative of Earth Day, observed each year on 22 April.
After much anticipation and months of assiduous planning, more than 600 participants met in Taipei last month to celebrate our centennial. ‘YMI 100‘ gave us several fun-filled days of fellowship, food, and inspiration for our future.
