Emphasis Month for
Leadership Training & Organisational Development (LTOD)
&
Public Relations
In the beginning of the YMI year, we naturally review our position and strength as an international service organisation. It is a time to look at how poorly performing strategies might be adapted, consider new methods and implement fresh ideas for developing our movement equally and equitably across the world. The objective is to inspire and unify our club members everywhere, to give them ownership in our international development plans by providing specific challenges and opportunities for concrete participation.
THE 4 ‘P’s FOR A STRONGER YMI
We are currently asking clubs to focus on the following four areas:
1. Partnerships – building mutually beneficial working relationships with other organisations in your communities
2. Publicity – disseminating positive stories and statements about YMI on a regular basis, adhering to a specific international communication strategy
3. Planning – creating 1-, 5- and 10-year strategic plans with the clear measurable goals and targets aligned with the objectives of Challenge 22 and our vision for the next 100 years
4. Projects – helping us to identify common needs across the world and develop corresponding common and core projects and programmes
